The Tasmanian RSL Golf Challenge which is run by the Lenah Valley RSL and is the major fundraising event for the LVRSL welfare fund, was held on Sunday 3 March 2024.
The Challenge, first held in 2011, occurs in March each year at the Claremont Golf Club and is an 18 hole Ambrose event.
The 2024 Challenge attracted 25 Teams and the trophy winners were as follows:
- The Vern McTye Memorial Trophy (open to all RSL members - best nett):
Lenah Valley RSL: Roley Curley, Matt Fahey, Mark Jones and Mick Lewis.
- The Don Ryan Memorial Trophy – The "Services Cup"(open to all service members either current or ex service members - best nett):
Team Army: Andrew Herbert, Danny Fleming, Jason Chivers and Joel McMahon.
- The Mark MacMichael Memorial Trophy - best gross):
Andrew Strugnell, M. Peters, M. Conolly and P. Johns.
Major Sponsor JMC (Jackson Motor Company) offered a New Suzuki Swift for 'A hole in One', however, participants were unsuccessful in claiming the prize again this year.
