Work commenced on the Haldane Reserve, Veterans reflection area and memorial on Wednesday 21 August 2024.
Funding of $ 5,000 was obtained from the Teddy Sheean VC Memorial Grants Program, to assist with completion of the project, which was the brain child of Josh Weir and Peter Dane.
The Hobart City Council approved the LVRSL application in July 2024 following a lengthy public consultation process.
We are most grateful to LVRSL member Kevin Clark who provided his equipment and expertise at most favourable rates.
We will be calling for help from members to assist with completion of the next phase of the project, which at this stage is expected about the middle of September.
Many thanks to Josh Weir and Peter Dane who have put in a great deal of work getting this project off the ground.
Members can view progress to date from the overflow car park directly behind the clubrooms.
