The Tasmanian RSL Golf Challenge which is run by the Lenah Valley RSL was held on Sunday 2 March 2025.
This event is a major fundraiser for RSL Welfare services.
The Tasmanian RSL Golf Challenge was first held in 2011. It is held at the Claremont Golf Club in March each year and is an 18 hole Ambrose event.
The 2025 Challenge attracted 19 Teams and the trophy winners were as follows:
- The Vern McTye Memorial Trophy (open to all RSL members - best nett):
Lindisfarne RSL: Ian Lawler, Bruce Cooling, Kevin Thomas, Chris Dent.
- The Don Ryan Memorial Trophy – The "Services Cup" (open to all service members either current or ex service members - best nett):
Team Army: Andrew Herbert, Danny Fleming, Jason Chivers and Neil Grierson.
- The Mark MacMichael Memorial Trophy - best gross:
Team Tas Networks: Billy Godwin, Rhys Browning, Chris Noye and Paul Cartwright.
Major Sponsor JMC (Jackson Motor Company) offered a New Suzuki Swift for 'A hole in One', however, participants were unsuccessful in claiming the prize yet again this year. This is the final occasion on which JMC will be the event Major Sponsor, and we thank JMC sincerely for their support.
